Steve Mohrman, Founder of Hands on Health

Hands On Health was founded in 2003 by Steve Mohrman, a graduate of the New York College of Health Professions (one of the most stringent in the entire country). Steve is a Licensed Professional Massage Therapist in North Carolina, New York, and New Mexico and he is the official Sports Massage Therapist for the UNCA Athletic Department.

Steve's philosophy and client centered approach to massage therapy focus on the practical outcomes for better health, encompassing a broad range of massage techniques and the importance of personal attention to every patient's unique conditions and needs.

"When I started my practice I had a very clear goal for the work I wanted to do, and pushed further and further into clinical massage therapy and sports massage. The vision for Hands On Health is to fill this region's need for a massage center based on solid principles for pain relief, sports performance and wellness. There are plenty of day spas and tons of therapists offering bodywork with new age spiritual slants, but we are the only center dedicated to highly skilled clinical massage therapy."
